Eileen Durant, RMT

“Massage therapy that meets you where you are.”

Hi, I’m Eileen — a Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of WCCMT Victoria.

My approach combines hands-on techniques with both active and passive movement to help reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and support deep relaxation. I use techniques such as muscle energy techniques (MET), PNF, myofascial work, and assisted stretching, adapting each treatment to what your body needs that day — whether that’s movement-focused work or a quiet, restorative hour on the table.

I welcome clients of all ages, backgrounds, and lived experiences. I especially enjoy working with people managing postural strain, stress, headaches, neck and low-back pain, movement and mobility restrictions, injury recovery, and general muscle tension related to busy or physically demanding lives. My goal is to offer a supportive, adaptable treatment environment where you feel heard, cared for, and more at ease in your body.

Treatment Approach & Modalities

My treatments blend evidence-informed, hands-on techniques to support movement, reduce tension, and encourage relaxation. Sessions are always adapted to your comfort level — incorporating movement when helpful, or remaining fully passive when rest is the priority.

  • Sustained pressure to help release tight connective tissue and improve mobility.

  • Guided muscle contractions used to reduce tension and restore joint movement without forceful stretching.

  • A combination of breath, resistance, and stretching to improve flexibility and ease muscular tension.

  • Slow, supported movement to encourage joint mobility, reduce guarding, and improve comfort with movement.

  • Hands-on work to reduce muscle tension, ease soreness, and support nervous system relaxation.

  • Techniques and positioning adapted for comfort and safety throughout pregnancy.
